Stoffels Ophiopogon Japonicus
Ophiopogon japonicus (also known as Mondo Grass or Snake’s Beard) is a low-growing evergreen plant with thin, lanceolate leaves that form dense “tufts”. Its natural form makes it ideal for decorating terrariums, paludariums or wet-type plant arrangements, providing a green carpet and hiding places for small reptiles and amphibians.
Creates a natural ground cover (“green carpet”) for decoration and hiding places.
Low maintenance, resistant to wet environments.
Excellent for terrariums, paludariums or riparium-type aquariums (plants outside the water but above the water).

Natural light: Prefers moderate to bright indirect light. Indoors or in a terrarium, this means that it should be placed away from direct sunlight, as its leaves may burn.
Artificial lighting: In a terrarium or paludarium it can grow well with LED or full spectrum fluorescent plant light. About 8–12 hours of light per day is sufficient.
Shade: Although it tolerates partial shade, in very low light growth becomes slower and the leaves may lose their bright green color.
