Hymenochirus boettgeri is a small African aquatic frog, known as the African Dwarf Frog. It has a calm demeanor and can be kept in suitable social aquariums, with peaceful fish of similar size. It feeds mainly on small frozen or live foods.
It prefers aquariums with plenty of hiding places, plants and soft lighting. Because it is slow and not particularly competitive in feeding, it is important that the food reaches close to the bottom so that it can feed easily.
