• Substrate: A deep, damp layer (4 to 6 inches) of organic topsoil, decaying hardwood, and leaf litter. (Avoid toxic woods or chemical-treated soils).
• Temperature & Humidity: Maintain air temperatures around 70–78°F (21–26°C) using a side-mounted, thermostat-regulated heat mat, and keep humidity levels between 70% and 85%. No special UVB lighting is required.
• Diet: Primarily detritivores that eat decaying wood and leaf litter, supplemented with fresh soft fruits and vegetables (such as cucumber, melon, and lettuce) every 2–3 days, plus a source of calcium like cuttlefish bone.
