Shelfordella tartara, also known as Red Runner or Turkistan Roaches, are one of the most popular live foods for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. They are known for their high nutritional value, soft exoskeleton and high mobility, which stimulates the animals’ natural hunting instinct. Red Runners have a high “flesh” to chitin ratio, which makes them more digestible than other feeder roach species.
