The male Anaconda Heterodon n. nasicus is a form of the Western Hognose snake that has been bred in captivity. Usually more intense pattern, “cleaner” dorsal pattern. differentiation from the classic blotched look.
The species is known for very characteristic behavior:
“Cobra bluff” > puffs out neck like a cobra, intense hiss, “playing dead”, can also pretend to be dead, generally non-aggressive.

Terrarium size:
Adult male: 60x40x30 cm (minimum)
Ideal: 80x40x40 cm
Warm side (basking spot) 31–33°C, General daytime temperature 24–27°C, Night 20–23°C (can drop a little naturally)
Needs thermal gradient, not the same temperature everywhere.
Humidity: 30–50% normally
Small increase 60–70% when: changing skin (shedding)
