Arctic Albino Toffee Hognose ((Heterodon nasicus) Female (0.1)
NZ/26: Breeding 2026
A very impressive Arctic Albino Toffee Hognose (Heterodon nasicus), combining the Arctic, Albino and Toffee genes, creating a particularly bright morph with intense cream, gold and caramel shades, clean pattern and excellent contrast. This is a rare and highly sought after morph, ideal for both collectors and demanding breeding projects. The Western Hognose Snake (Heterodon nasicus) is a small, diurnal snake of the Colubridae family, known for its characteristic upturned snout, which it uses to dig into the substrate. It is distinguished by its calm character, manageable size and unique defensive behaviors, which makes it one of the most popular species. It feeds on frozen-thawed or live rodents of appropriate size, depending on its age and development. For proper maintenance, a terrarium with good ventilation, dry substrate suitable for digging, hiding places and a bowl of clean water is required. The ideal temperature is 30–32°C in the warm spot and 23–25°C in the cool spot, with a relative humidity of 30–50%.
