Iguana Green Juvenile Male (Iguana iguana)
The Green Iguana is an impressive reptile. Juveniles are bright green. As males grow older, they turn orange, develop a large dewlap, and become more imposing.
Behavior:
Small: fast, fearful
As they grow older:
they become territorial (especially the male)
They need patience and frequent handling to become tame
They need daily care
They need space, time and the right equipment
Terrarium:
Young: at least 100x50x100 cm
Adult: needs a very large space or custom construction, ideally: 2m high and above (they are arboreal animals)
Terrarium decoration: Thick branches for climbing, platforms, Hiding places, Plants (real or artificial, non-toxic)
Diet: 100% herbivorous
Daily: Arugula, Dandelion, Romaine lettuce,
Occasional: Carrot, Zucchini, Pepper

Lifespan: 15–20 years
Character: A little nervous when small, calmer with proper handling
Temperature:
Basking point: 35–38°C
General temperature: 26–30°C
Night: not below 22–24°C
Lighting (VERY IMPORTANT): High-quality UVB lamp (10.0 or equivalent), 10–12 hours a day
Without UVB there is a risk of Metabolic Bone Disease
Humidity: Ideally 60–80%
Methods: daily spraying, large bowl of water, humidifier (if necessary)
