Ceratophrys cranwelli is a frog known as the Pacman frog or Argentinian horned frog. The “Strawberry” form is a color form (morph) that has been created through selective breeding and has a bright red-orange color.
Behavior & important: Lives alone (cannibalism). Does not like handling. Can bite if threatened. Is an ambush predator and can eat large prey.
Terrarium diet: crickets, dubia cockroaches, earthworms, occasional pinky mice (adults), calcium and vitamin supplements.
Terrarium decoration: cork bark, leaves / leaf litter, hiding places, shallow water bowl (for hydration).
Water should be chlorine-free.
Substrate Ideal: coconut fiber, terrarium soil / forest soil, sphagnum moss
Depth: 5–10 cm or more so it can be buried.
Avoid: gravel, substrate with fertilizer, large pieces of bark (danger of swallowing).  ...More
