The Albino Chinese Softshell Turtle is a striking and rare variation of the well-known Chinese softshell turtle. It stands out for its soft, almost translucent skin with shades of pink, yellow or white, as well as for the delicate albinism that gives it a unique appearance. It is aquatic, fast, active and requires careful management, clean water and stable conditions to stay healthy.
Terrarium / Aquarium
Minimum size for juvenile: 150 liters
For adult: 300–400 liters (minimum) – they are very active and need space
Substrate: Fine sand-substrate (very important for their natural digging)
Basking area: Optional, but a small platform is recommended.
Diet: Omnivorous, with a tendency towards carnivory.
Ideal diet:
High protein turtle food
Shrimp, small fish (infrequently)
Snails, worms, insects
A small amount of green leafy vegetables
Good quality pellets (staple food)
Frequency:Juveniles: daily, Adults: 3–4 times a week
